چکیده
Portland cement is the most produced material in world. The hydration process of consists a group complex chemical reactions. In order to investigate mechanism hydration, it vital study each phase separately. An integrated model proposed this paper simulate dissolution alite under different hydrodynamic conditions at microscale, coupling Kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC), Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) and diffusion boundary layer (DBL). initialised with KMC. Two Multiple-relaxation-time (MRT) LB models are used fluid flow transport ions, respectively. For solid-liquid interface, DBL adapted calculate concentration gradient flux. validated experiment from literature. simulation results show good agreements published

Transport of E. coli D21g with runoff water under different solution chemistry conditions and surface slopes
Tracer and indicator microbe runoff experiments were conducted to investigate the influence of solution chemistry on the transport, retention, and release of Escherichia coli D21g. Experiments were conducted in a chamber (2.25 m long, 0.15 m wide, and 0.16 m high) packed with ultrapure quartz sand (to a depth of 0.10 m) that was placed on a metal frame at slopes of 5.6%, 8.6%, or 11.8%. Runoff ...
متن کاملEnhanced surface hydrophobicity by coupling of surface polarity and topography.
We use atomistic computer simulation to explore the relationship between mesoscopic (liquid drop contact angle) and microscopic (surface atomic polarity) characteristics for water in contact with a model solid surface based on the structure of silica. We vary both the magnitude and direction of the solid surface polarity at the atomic scale and characterize the response of an aqueous interface ...
متن کاملGROWTH OF ZnS SINGLE CRYSTALS BY CVT TECHNIQUE UNDER DIFFERENT MASS TRANSPORT STABILITY CONDITIONS
Abstract: A thermodynamic model was used to find out the optimum temperature for the growth of ZnS single crystals in closed ampoules by chemical vapor transport technique. Based on this model 1002 °C was found to be optimum temperature for 2 mg/cm3 concentration of transporting agent (iodine). ZnS Crystals were grown in optimum (1002 °C) and non-optimum (902 °C and 1102 °C) temperatures. The c...

Ultrasonic testing is a versatile and important nondestructive testing method. In many industrial applications, ultrasonic testing is carried out at relatively high temperatures. Since the ultrasonic w...
متن کاملReactivity screening of microscale zerovalent irons and iron sulfides towards different CAHs under standardized experimental conditions.
A standardized batch test procedure was developed and used to evaluate the reactivity of twelve newly designed microscale zerovalent iron (mZVI) particles and two biogenic iron sulfides towards a mixture of chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbons (CAHs) and their breakdown products. For comparison, commercially available mZVIs, nanoscale zerovalent irons (nZVIs), iron sulfides (FeS) and granular zer...
